“As another year comes to a close and we look forward to 2024, I wanted to take some time to wish you all a joyous holiday season and the very best for the New Year. I would also like to take this opportunity to reflect on the business and our continuing relationship with you, our customers, clients, and in many cases, our friends.

Front and central and mirroring the theme of last years message is that of the continued relationships we cherish within the industry and the community we work within. We continue to work hard on developing new relationships and growing the long standing friendships we already have in place. Our goals are also widening to encourage, develop and germinate relationships with younger technicians and facility personnel. These people will be the future of our industry, so we are all keen here at Tecniplast to work together and with time, move from early relationships to eventual friendships as we have successfully done over the past twenty plus years.

Of course relationships are important as they are in any business, but ultimately, we also need to provide you with the latest scientific innovations and solutions. The key driver for us all here at Tecniplast is to continue to enthuse our customers, in turn enthusing us to continuously improve our offering. You can be assured that the company will continue to invest heavily in design and innovation. From a sustainability perspective, we continue to strive towards cleaner and more efficient solutions that release less CO2, ensuring we help you to deliver greener outputs for your facility. The company continues to expand and acquire new businesses, and from this year alone, our portfolio now includes many products for the laboratory, including furniture, incubators, fume hoods and freezers. Alongside our Laboratory Animal Sciences business we are now very proud to work with Fedegari to enhance our Pharma washer portfolio. In conclusion it has been a very important year in the continued development of the business at a global level.

2023 has thrown further challenges at us as a business and many of our end users. Although, in the main, the global supply chain has settled somewhat since the pandemic, the cost of gas/electricity/materials is clearly having an effect alongside the cost of living challenges the country is experiencing. Our industry is a very large consumer of energy and we have clearly seen the knock-on effects that some facilities are clearly suffering from. Hopefully there will be green shoots of recovery in the new year but with political instability and uncertainty in the middle east and Russia/Ukraine, global economies will still continue to affect us all I suspect. However as I reiterated last year, having our manufacturer in Europe continues to offer huge benefits, including quicker accessibility to spare parts, reduced delivery times, a lower carbon footprint and expert advice and assurance that can be speedily deployed from Italy if needed. 

The industry has once again shown great faith in Tecniplast in 2023, resulting in being awarded the vast majority of technical projects, major installations and large scale deployments across the country. Faith and trust though are key here. With a dedicated team of experienced Project Managers and over thirty engineers to hand, you, our customers, continue to place that trust and faith in us. We never get complacent on this I can assure you. The Tecniplast UK LAS business has over 60 personnel dedicated to delivering an excellent service on time and every time.

As we look forward to some down time over the seasonal period, the Tecniplast Team and I wish you an enjoyable break and a renewal of our commitment to go above and beyond in 2024.
